Volunteer Opportunities

There are many oppportunities to volunteer available within the OCR PTA.
Information on some of our events is available below.

Carnival: Help is needed in planning, setup, running booths, and with clean-up. Date will be announced in September. This is an evening event. Contact Florence to volunteer.

Book Fair: Takes place in October. Help is needed during the day. Contact Natalie or Fran to volunteer.

Book-it Program: This is a 6 month long program that encourages children to read through out the week. Help is needed with administering the program.

Fundraising: Volunteers are needed to evaluate new fundrasing programs, promote ongoing fundraising campaigns, and to complete paperwork for programs.

Join the OCR PTA!

Our membership campaign has started. Membership is only $10 for the first family member and $5 for each additional family member.

Membership envelopes are available in the main office or send in the membership form located under the Notices & Forms.

Pocket calendars are now for sale!

The school district calendar is available in pocket form. Each calendar is $3.00 and lists days off, 1/2 days, PTA meetings, and much more.

Fall Fundraising

Fundrasing is, unfortunately, a necessary part of the PTA. The funds we raise support all of the programs run by the PTA that beneift the students at OCR like the Kindergarten Welcome Picnic, Book-It, PARP, Student and Citizen of the Month, the Summer Reading Program, and Cultural Arts events. Please support the OCR PTA by participating in pur fundraisers.

Great American Brochure Sale - purchase items from the catalog, begins September 13th.

Kids First Coupon Book
Each book sells for $25.00 and has coupons for our locall merchants. The OCR PTA earns 50% of each book sold.

Spirit Wear Sale - look for information in Spetember to purchase OCR t-shirts and sweatshirts.

Car Wash - come get your car washed on Sunday, September 19th on Levitown Parkway.

Welcome to the Old Country Road PTA website. At OCR, we have a great community of parents, teachers, and administrators working together to provide the best possible education for our children. Our students are encouraged to learn, create, imagine, and Expect Excellence!

As a PTA, we provide many programs for our students to enrich their education and their lives, but we can’t do this without you. By joining the PTA, you can make a difference! As a member of the PTA, you have a right to vote on important issues to our school and your family. If you’d like to be even more involved, there are many ways to contribute to the PTA. You may also choose to volunteer for PTA committees, help during events throughout the year, support PTA fundraising efforts which provide amazing programs for our students, and attend PTA Meetings where you can help make decisions that affect our children every day.

The PTA at Old Country Road Elementary supports our children in many exciting ways, to enhance their education with programs that just would not exist without your help. These programs are funded through your membership dues, fundraising efforts, and direct donations, and we believe the students will benefit from them now, and in the future.
